Solus web site restructuring
The site has gone through a little change. Cosmetically and structurally. Most importantly is the addition of new feeds for syndication.
The podcast that you’ve come to know and love for its mixes now has additional content. It’s starting with some music production tutorials, in the form of video. In a few weeks will be gear demo videos and other content.
If you love the Dj mixes but don’t need all the other crap, you can unsubscribe to the full feed and resubscribe to the “podcast” feed.
If you’d like to only get tutorials, then subscribe to that feed. This allows for more content choices and a more fulfilling rss experience.
Sorry if this mucks up things for some but when the site started I was only going to do podcasts but I’d like to start offering more and varied content on this site
Logic Pro 8 Touch Track Video Tutorial
Touch Tracks are a great way to reorganize your midi performances. Basically you can trigger your riffs in different keys to create new improvs on your themes. even hold down a chord and the midi data will trigger on all the notes you are holding.
This video quickly shows you how to implement a touch track. Drag a midi region to the enviroment and you are halfway there.

Mapp & Derf lives again !!!! the classic EP is on itunes
The Mapp & Derf EP has been remastered and re-released on itunes !!! Greg Moritz and Myself (Matt aka Solus ) recorded this album back in 2000 maybe… or was it 2001. Either way I think we recorded some cool isht… I had forgotten most of these tunes and when it came on Kooks boombox at a skate session I decided I needed to put it out !!!! Derf’s skills on the Fender Rhodes really shine, along with some meters-esques rip-off guitar riffs from me.

Solus show – The Fig 5.25.08
That’s right we’re back at the fig on Sunday May 25th… That’s the day before Memorial day so there is no excuse not to come out and party down. It’s a byob venue and its only 5 bucks to get in. C’mon you can’t afford not to go.
